Pizza Dogs recipe – a fun recipe for the kids or the young at heart
1 sachet (40g) All Gold Tomato Sauce
½ green pepper, finely diced
150g diced bacon
5ml (1 tsp) ground coriander
30ml (2 tbsps) white cheddar cheese
1pkt (410g) frozen puff pastry, thawed
4 slices mozzarella cheese halved on the angle
8 Enterprise smoked viennas
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In a small frying pan, sauté bacon pieces for 5 minutes or until just crisp, add tomato paste, green pepper, coriander and cheddar cheese. Cook, stirring often, over medium heat for 5 minutes. Cool.
Unroll the dough, cut into 8 rectangles, spread an equal amount of All Gold Tomato Sauce over each rectangle. Top with a half slice of cheese.
Place a vienna at the short end of the rectangle and roll in dough to enclose. Transfer to a baking sheet, laying seam side down.
Bake on the lower rack of the oven for 15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
