There’s nothing more simple than this recipe for classic Chocolate Chip Cookies
90 g butter
90 g sugar
90 g brown sugar
5 ml vanilla essence
180 g self-raising flour, sifted
1 ml salt
120 g chocolate chips
Cream together the butter and the sugars until they are light and creamy.
Add the egg and mix together well.
Add the flour, salt the chocolate chips. Continue mixing until it all comes together in a dough.
Roll into even sized balls and place on a lined baking sheet sprayed with non-stick spray.
Bake in a preheated oven at 180˚C for 12 to 15 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
Leave to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, and as the cookies being to harden move to a cooling rack to cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
